Full of Life

Farmboy, entrepreneur

When I was 6 years old, my mother remarried.  I was adopted into a large Pennsylvania farm family (21 cousins) and grew up working hard at multiple family owned businesses. Fitting into a new family requires effort. This was my first exposure to “joining a new team.”

Resilient

Survivor, transformer -

While attending Army Officers training in Ft. Bragg, NC I was informed of a medical disqualification due to a heart condition, ugh, curveball. 13 years later that condition required surgery, all better now. That life crossroad prompted attending grad school, which catapulted my HR career.

Resilience applied … adapt and overcome.

Connection & Commitment

CONNECTION & COMMITMENT

Upon relocating to Southern California (third cross-country move) I met the love of my life, Teresa. We married, traveled the world, and now have beautiful twins, Mia and Nate. It’s a whole nutha life!

Love of Family

confidence & courage

I’ve worked for multiple employers as a successful global HR leader and practitioner, applying and honing skills like those I now offer in my consultancy.  Simply stated, I had a dream and the confidence and courage to pursue it.

Driven

shaping respect, understanding, and results across boundaries

Working with clients and peers in more than 20 countries has been an ultimate dream come true. We are all in this life together and I truly enjoy helping to shape respect, understanding, and results across boundaries.

Soldier, mechanic, Blues man

At 17 years old, I enlisted in the US Army Reserves and subsequently attended Penn State on a 4-year ROTC scholarship. That service was an important chapter for me. I have also learned to cherish what family and friends taught me about faith, entrepreneurism, restoring 60’s muscle cars, playing Blues guitar all over the world, and many outdoor activities that keep me moving and always reaching higher.
